HOTTEST 100 LISTENING PARTY

2021 may not have been one of our best years but at least we got some great music out of it. We still managed to make the absolute most of Hottest 100 Day, counting down the best music of the year with a full pub and plenty of beers. ANZAC DAY 2021

It was good to be back <3 Anzac Day returned in a big way at the Bank in 2021. Tora Hymen re-established herself as 2UP Royalty as she led the charge in the 2UP ring from midday. Click below to check out all the photos from the day. Until next year!

GREEN QUEENS II

The second instalment of GREEN QUEENS at the Bank was an absolute blast! An event in partnership with our local green thumbs Plant Daddy, the day was hosted by the Liquor Sisters Jackie Daniels & Amber Rose. The Plant Daddy team taught aspiring plant enthusiasts how to properly pot a plant & create your own terrarium. Click the link below to see some photos!

FAIR DAY 2021

It was the best way to kick off the Mardi Gras season <3 We were joined by a host of beautiful Queens and DJ's, in addition to all the people who came to attend a pituresque Sunday afternoon that turned into a rowdy, fun (and COVID Safe!) evening. Click below to check out the photos!

EVERYBODY SAY LOVE | MARDI GRAS

One of our favourite times of the year happens in February and what a jam-packed month of rainbow-coloured festivities we had throughout February. With a stack of our local legends, and extra guests, February was all about LOVE at the Bank. We had parties, queens and dancing galore to keep everybody saying LOVE for the Mardi Month (and also for always).

FAIR DAY

Fair Day kicked off the Mardi Gras season and The Bank's afterparty was the biggest and best on the block. DJ Sveta led the fabulous DJ line up and it went off! Be the first to know about next year's plans, get on our emails.

BUSHFIRE RELIEF HOUR

On Friday 17th January Solotel venues ran Bushfire Relief Hour, with proceeds from ALL food and drinks sold between 5 - 7pm were donated directly towards the bushfire appeal. 

NOVEMBER

NEWTOWN FESTIVAL

We've been a major sponsor of Newtown festival for the last few years and we're always looking for new ways to support the Newtown Neighbourhood Centre. Last year we threw a number of Newtown Festival Series events in different areas of the pub, organised a bunch of Karma Kegs from our mates at local breweries, and raised over $13,000 for the NNC. KING STREET CRAWL

Every year King Street Crawl takes over the whole neighbourhood and nearly every pub, bar, and shop becomes a live music venue and the bank is right in the middle of it all. Over twenty acts play across three levels. Sign up to be the first to hear this year's plans.

Established in 2016 to showcase the best and hottest local chilies and hot sauces, Newtown Chili Fest has become an all day experience with fun for the whole family.

ANZAC DAY

ANZAC Day at The Bank has become an incredible tradition in Newtown where the whole community comes together to support our servicemen and women. Our sunken beer garden is the perfect 2 Up arena, giving you a birds eye view of all the action and banter from our resident spinner and legendary drag queens, Tora Hymen and Carmen Geddit. Come down for tinnes, stadium seating, and perfectly smashable food for everyone.
